The Merit of looking at the face of Allah's Apostle (May Allah's Pease and Blessings be upon him) and longing for it

Hadith #1

Abu Huraira reported so many 'ahadith from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and one among them was that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) is reported to have said: By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, a day would come to you when you would not be able to see me, and the glimpse of my face would be dearer to one than one's own family, one's property and in fact everything. This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ishaq with a slight variation of wording.

(17:101).Shu’bah was unsure if this was included: And particularly for you, O Jews, that you do not contravene (the injunctions on) the Sabbath (Saturday). So, they kissed his hand and his feet, saying, “We bear testimony that you are a Prophet. He asked. ‘Then what prevents you from submitting (in Islam)?” They said, ‘Dawood had prayed that Prophets should not cease to come in his offspring and we fear that if we submit the Jews will kill us.’

Raqs in Love of Allah and His Messenger(صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)

Imam Jalal al-Din Suyuti (rah) was asked for a Question “a group of Sufis who had gathered for a session of dhikr,” and he replied: How can one condemn making dhikr while standing, or standing while making dhikr, when Allah Most High says, “. . . those who invoke Allah standing, sitting, and upon their sides” (Qur'an 3:191). And ‘A'isha (Allah be well pleased with her) said, “The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) used to invoke Allah at all of his times” [Sahih Muslim, 1.282: 373]. And if dancing is added to this standing, it may not be condemned, as it is of the joy of spiritual vision and ecstasy, and the hadith exists [in many sources, such as [Musnad al-Imam Ahmad, 1.108, with a sound (hasan) chain of transmission] that Ja‘far ibn Abi Talib danced in front of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) when the Prophet told him, “You resemble me in looks and in character,” dancing from the happiness he felt from being thus addressed.......and the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) did not condemn him for doing so, this being a basis for the legal acceptability of the Sufis dancing from the joys of the ecstasies they experience, Hence it is correct to stand and dance during gatherings of Dhikr and Sama according to a group of Majority of Scholars, among them being Shaykh ul-Islam Iz udin bin Abd al-Salaam.

Hadith #10

Translation: It is narrated by Anas (R.A) that the Habashis were present in front of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and “THEY WERE DANCING (Yarqasun)” and saying: Muhammadun Abdun Salih (i.e. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم the righteous slave). The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) asked: What are they saying? They said: Muhammadun Abdun Salih [Musnad Ahmed bin Hanbal, Volume No.3, Page no. 152]
Shu’yb al Arna’ut said after this hadith:

إسناده صحيح على شرط مسلم

Translation: The Chain is “SAHIH” on the criteria of “MUSLIM”[ibid]

1. Shaykh ul Islam Nur ud-din al Haythami (rah) said: “All narrators are those of Sahih (رجاله رجال الصحيح)“ [Majma’ Az-Zawa’id, Volume 005, Page No. 157]

2. It is also stated by Salafi’s leading Muhadith Shaykh Ahmad Shaakir in his Tahqiq of Musnad Ahmad where he said: “Its chain is sound (إسناده صحيح)“ [Musnad Ahmad Volume 001, Page No. 537, Hadith Number 857, FN: 2]

3. Imam Bayhaqi made a whole chapter on permissibility of Raqsand after citing this hadith he said: In this (hadith) if “SAHIH THERE IS PROOF” and "PERMISSIBILITY" of hoping (dancing) which includes “RISING UP OR JUMPING IN STATE OF JOY” and also that of doing “RAQS” which is similar to it [Sunnan al Baihaqi al Kubra (15/333)]
Imam Bayhaqi also states in Shu’yb ul Imaan:

وأما الرقص فإن لم يكن فيه تكسر وتخنث فلا بأس فإنه روي أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
قال لزيد أنت مولانا فحجل وهو أن يرفع رجلا ويقفز إلى الأخرى من

الفرح وقال لجعفر أشبهت خلقي وخلقي فحجل

Translation: As regarding “Raqs” If it does not include going wild and one does not act like the women then “THERE IS NO HARM IN IT” as the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said to Zayd (ra): You are my freedman (anta Mawlay), at this Zayd began to hop on one leg (hajala) around the Prophet (Peace be upon him), and he did this in joy, then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said to Jafar (ra): You resemble me in my creation and my manners, at this Jafar also began to hop behind Zayd [Shu’yb ul Imaan, Volume No.4, Page No. 483-484]

Reading of Sura Fatiha, as a Source of Shafat

Hadith #11

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

Some of the companions of the Prophet came across a tribe amongst the tribes of the Arabs, and that tribe did not entertain them. While they were in that state, the chief of that tribe was bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion). They said, (to the companions of the Prophet ), "Have you got any medicine with you or anybody who can treat with Ruqya?" The Prophet's companions said, "You refuse to entertain us, so we will not treat (your chief) unless you pay us for it." So they agreed to pay them a flock of sheep. One of them (the Prophet's companions) started reciting Surat-al-Fatiha and gathering his saliva and spitting it (at the snake-bite). The patient got cured and his people presented the sheep to them, but they said, "We will not take it unless we ask the Prophet (whether it is lawful)." When they asked him, he smiled and said, "How do you know that Surat-al-Fatiha is a Ruqya? Take it (flock of sheep) and assign a share for me."

Hadith #12

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

Some of the companions of the Prophet passed by some people staying at a place where there was water, and one of those people had been stung by a scorpion. A man from those staying near the water, came and said to the companions of the Prophet, "Is there anyone among you who can do Ruqya as near the water there is a person who has been stung by a scorpion." So one of the Prophet's companions went to him and recited Surat-al-Fatiha for a sheep as his fees. The patient got cured and the man brought the sheep to his companions who disliked that and said, "You have taken wages for reciting Allah's Book." When they arrived at Medina, they said, ' O Allah's Apostle! (This person) has taken wages for reciting Allah's Book" On that Allah's Apostle said, "You are most entitled to take wages for doing a Ruqya with Allah's Book."

TRAITS OF KHAWARIJ AND THEIR FOLLOWERS

Hadith #13

Narrated Abu Sa'id:

While the Prophet was distributing (something, 'Abdullah bin Dhil Khawaisira At-Tamimi came and said, "Be just, O Allah's Apostle!" The Prophet said, "Woe to you ! Who would be just if I were not?" 'Umar bin Al-Khattab said, "Allow me to cut off his neck ! " The Prophet said, " Leave him, for he has companions, and if you compare your prayers with their prayers and your fasting with theirs, you will look down upon your prayers and fasting, in comparison to theirs. Yet they will go out of the religion as an arrow darts through the game's body in which case, if the Qudhadh of the arrow is examined, nothing will be found on it, and when its Nasl is examined, nothing will be found on it; and then its Nadiyi is examined, nothing will be found on it. The arrow has been too fast to be smeared by dung and blood. The sign by which these people will be recognized will be a man whose one hand (or breast) will be like the breast of a woman (or like a moving piece of flesh). These people will appear when there will be differences among the people (Muslims)." Abu Sa'id added: I testify that I heard this from the Prophet and also testify that 'Ali killed those people while I was with him. The man with the description given by the Prophet was brought to 'Ali. The following Verses were revealed in connection with that very person (i.e., 'Abdullah bin Dhil-Khawaisira At-Tarnimi): 'And among them are men who accuse you (O Muhammad) in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms.' Hadith #14

'Ubaidullah b. Abu Rafi', the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), said: When Haruria (the Khwarij) set out and as he was with 'Ali b. Abu Talib (Allah be pleased with him) they said," There is no command but that of Allah." Upon this 'Ali said: The statement is true but it is intentionally applied (to support) a wrong (cause). The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him described their characteristics and I found these characteristics in them. They state the truth with their tongue, but it does not go beyond this part of their bodies (and the narrator pointed towards his throat). The most hateful among the creation of Allah us one black man among them (Khwarij). One of his hand is like the teat of a goat or the nipple of the breast. When 'Ali b. Abu Talib (Allah be pleased with him) killed them, he said: Search (for his dead body). They searched for him, but they did not find it (his dead body). Upon this he said: Go (and search for him). By Allah, neither I have spoken a lie nor has the lie been spoken to me. 'Ali said this twice and thrice. They then found him (the dead body) in a rain. They brought (his dead) body till they placed it before him (Hadrat 'Ali). 'Ubaidullah said: And, I was present at (that place) when this happened and when 'Ali said about them. A person narrated to me from Ibn Hanain that he said: I saw that black man.

Hadith #15

Zaid b. Wahb Jahani reported and he was among the squadron which wall under the command of Ali (Allah be pleased with him) and which set out (to curb the activities) of the Khwarij. 'Ali (Allah be pleased with him) said: 0 people, I heard the Messeinger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: There would arise from my Ummah a people who would recite the Qur'an, and your recital would seem insignificant as compared with their recital, your prayer as compared with their prayer, arid your fast, as compared with their fast. They would recite the Qur'an thinking that it sup- ports them, whereas it is an evidence against them. Their prayer does not get beyond their collar bone; they would swerve through Islam just as the arrow passes through the prey.If the squadron which is to encounter them were to know (what great boon) has been assured to them by their Apostle (may peace be upon him) they would completely rely upon this deed (alone and cease to do other good deeds), and their (that of the Khwarij) distinctive mark is that there would be (among them) a person whose wrist would be without the arm, and the end of his wrist would be fleshy like the nipple of the breast on which there would be white hair. You would be marching towards Muawiya and the people of Syria and you would leave them behind among your children and your property (to do harm).By Allah, I believe that these are the people (against whom you have been commanded to fight and get reward) for they have shed forbidden blood, and raided the animals of the people. So go forth in the name of Allah (to fight against them). Salama b. Kuhail mentioned that Zaid b. Wahb made me alight at every stage, till we crossed a bridge. 'Abdullah b. Wahb al-Rasibi was at the head of the Khwarij when we encountered them. He ('Abdullah) said to his army: Throw the spears and draw out your swords from their sheaths, for I fear that they would attack you as they attacked you on the day of Harura. They went back and threw their spears and drew out their swords, and people fought against them with spears and they were killed one after another. Only two persons were killed among the people (among the army led by Hadrat 'Ali) on that day.'Ali (Allah be pleased with him) said: Find out from among them (the dead bodies of the Khwarij) (the maimed). They searched but did not find him. 'Ali (Allah be pleased with him) then himself stood up and (walked) till he came to the people who had been killed one after another. He ('Ali) said: Search them to the last, and then ('Ali's companions) found him (the dead body of the maimed) near the earth. He (Hadrat 'Ali) then pronounced Allah-O-Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) and then said, Allah told the Truth and His Messenger (may peace be upon him) conveyed it. Then there stood before him 'Abida Salmani who said: Commander of the Believers, by Allah, besides Whom there is no god but He, (tell me) whether you heard this hadith from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). He said: Yes, by Allah, besides Whom there is no god but He. He asked him to take an oath thrice and he took the oath.

Khawarij apply ayahs revealed for Disbelievers upon Muslims as done by their new counter-parts called "Wahabiyyah"

Imam Bukhari mentions in Sahih:
Allah azza Wajjal said (in Quran): And Allah will not mislead a people after He hath guided them, in order that He may make clear to them what to fear (and avoid)- for Allah hath knowledge of all things. 9:115) It has come from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (Allah be well pleased with him) that he considered the Khawarij and heretics as the worst beings in creation, and he said: They went to verses which were revealed about the disbelievers and applied them to the Believers.[Sahih Bukhari, Chapter of Killing the Khawarjites and Mulhideen, as mentioned in Fath ul Bari, Volume No. 16, Page No. 168=169]

In Commentory of Chapter Imam Ibn Hajr al Asqalani (Rahimuhullah) writes in Fath ul Bari under this hadith: Imam Tabri (rah) has mentioned this hadith in Musnad of Ali with the chain of Bakeer bin Abdullah in Tahdhib al Athaar, He asked Nafi’ that what was the opinion of Abdullah Ibn Umar (ra) regarding Haruriya (Khawarij), he replied that he (Ibn Umar) used to consider them worst creations of Allah because they applied ayahs revealed for disbelievers on believers.

(Imam Ibn Hajr al Asqalani) said: This Hadith has “SAHIH” chain. It is also proven from the Sahih Marfu hadith of Imam Muslim which he narrated from Abu Dhar (ra) in characteristics of Khawarij, the hadith states: They are a creation of worst kind, and Imam Ahmed has also narrated a similar hadith from Anas bin Malik (ra) with a strong chain. Imam Bazzar (rah) has narrated the hadith from Aisha (ra) who narrates from Prophet (saw) that he said: They will be the worst of my ummah and they will be killed by the best of my ummah, The chain of this hadith is “Hassan”[Fath ul Bari, Sharh Sahih ul Bukhari, Volume No. 16, Page No. 168-9, Published by Dar Taybah, Beirut, Lebanon] Click Here for Scanned Page (79)

Accusation of Shirk

Hudhaifa i.e. Ibn al Yaman (ra) said that the Prophet (saw) said: Verily, I fear about a man from you who will read the Qur'an so much that his face will become enlightened and he will come to personify Islam. This will continue until Allah desires. Then these things will be taken away from him when he will disregard them by putting them all behind his back and will attack his neighbor with the sword accusing him of Shirk. The Prophet was asked - which of the two will be deserving of such an accusation? - The attacker or the attacked? The Prophet replied - the attacker (the one accusing the other of Shirk) [Narrated by Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, Tahqiq Nasir Albani, Volume 001, Page No. 200, Hadith Number 81] Nasir Albani said: 'this hadith is hasan' also see [Silsilat al-ahadith al-sahihah - Albani Volume 007-A, Page No. 605, Hadith Number 3201] Click Here for Scanned Page (80)

Saying Jummah(Friday) Mubarak

In recent times it has been observed that, some sects have put the fatwa of Bidaah on people who say "Jummah Mubarak". This shows the ignorance of the people who are not aware of the basic knowledge. Let us first see the Hadith where it is mentioned "Jummah is Eid"

Translation: A Jew who was with Ibn Abbas when he recited, "Today I have perfected for you your religion..." (5:3) remarked, "If this verse had been revealed to us we would have made it a festival."  Ibn Abbas replied, "It was revealed on a day which contained two festivals(Eids), on Friday and on the day of Arafah."

So it very clear now that Friday is also Eid for Momin and everyone say Eid Mubarak on Eid day. Hence Jummah Mubarak

Raising the Hands for Dua and Wiping the Face after Dua

Today people with zero knowledge about Quran and Hadith have started giving out absurd fatwas and there by misleading the Muslim ummah.

Translation: Umar R.A Narrated that : When Prophet "RAISED HIS HAND IN SUPPLICATION, HE DIDN'T LOWER THEM TILL HE WIPED HIS FACE WITH THEM" Related by Al-Tirmidhi.

-There are other traditions, which support this narration, of which are

Translation: The hadith narrated by Ibn Abbas R.A related by Abu dawood and others "Put together, they confirm that it is HASAN"

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah(Peace Be Upon Him) said: "when you supplicate to Allah, supplicate with your palms uppermost, not with the  backs  of your hands uppermost, and when you finish WIPE YOUR FACE WITH THEM" [Sunan Ibn Majah, Volume 4, Chapter 16, Page 122, Hadith No: 3866, Published by Darussalam]
Regarding raising hands after Prayer
1) Narrated Muttalib: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Prayer is to be offered in two rak'ahs; and you should recite the tashahhud at the end of two rak'ahs, and express your distress and humility and raise your hands and say praying: O Allah, O Allah. He who does not do so does not offer a perfect prayer.(Book #4, Hadith #1291, Sunan Abu Dawood)
2) Malik ibn Yasar (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “When you ask Allah, ask Him with the palm of your hands, and don’t ask Him with the back of the hands.” (Sunan Abu Dawud, 2/104)
Aadab(Manners) of Friday Khutbah-Prayer

How we often come across, where people literally hover over our shoulders and going in front rows during the Jummah Khutbah? If that is not enough we find people causally discussing their day to day issues, even when Imam is delivering the Khutbah. Our Nabi Kareem(صلى الله عليه وسلم) has forbidden such actions.
1) Stepping over People's Neck
Translation: Chapter 20: The Prohibition of Stepping over the People's Neck When the Imam is on the Minbar on Friday

It was narrated from Abu Az- Zahiriyah about Abdullah bin Busr, he said: "I was sitting beside him on Friday and he said: 'A man came, stepping over the people's necks, and the Messenger of Allah(Peace Be Upon Him) said: SIT DOWN YOU ARE DISTURBING PEOPLE"

2) Listening Attentively

Translation: Chapter 22: Listening Attentively to the Khutbah on Friday
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah(Peace Be Upon Him) said: "Whoever says to his companion on friday, when the Imam is delivering the Khutbah: "LISTEN ATTENTIVELY, has engaged in IDLE TALK"
Reference: Sunan Nasai, Volume 2, Book of Friday, Hadith No: 1402, Page 329, Published by Darussalam
3)Benefits Of Listening Attentively
Translation: Chapter 23: The virtue of Listening Attentively And Not Engaging in Idle Talk on Firday
It was narrated that Salman said: "The Messenger of Allah(Peace Be Upon Him) said to me: There is no man who purifies himself on friday as he is commanded, then comes out of his house to the friday prayer, and LISTENS ATTENTIVELY untill he finishes his prayer it will be an expiation for what came before it the week before"
